The Nintendo Switch 2 launch line-up is shaping up to be one of the best ever, featuring a combination of first-party exclusives and high-profile third-party support. Launch games include Mario Kart World, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Hogwarts Legacy and Split Fiction.

Fans can now count Sonic X Shadow Generations among the launch games, as SEGA confirms plans to release the platform adventure on June 5. Sonic X Shadow Generations will be joined by Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S at launch, as well as RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army on June 19.

In addition to all of the SEGA games, a new leak suggests a major Ubisoft release will also join the Switch 2 in 2025.

UK certification board PEGI recently rated Assassin’s Creed Shadows for Nintendo Switch 2.

As you can see from the image below, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is listed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch.

The listing mentioning the Nintendo Switch 2 can be found in the Most Searched Games section of the PEGI website, and not on the dedicated AC Shadows page.

With Ubisoft confirming plans to bring Star Wars Outlaws to Nintendo Switch 2 in September, there’s a good chance Assassin’s Creed Shadows could follow.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows developer Ubisoft may reveal more during an upcoming event on April 30.

“Want to know what’s coming post-launch?” reads an AC Shadows post on X. “Stay tuned April 30th. The journey continues.”

Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place in feudal Japan and features a dual-protagonist system.

You can play as the powerful Saumrai named Yasuke, as well as a speedier shinobi assassin named Naoe.

Ubisoft explains more: “Become a lethal shinobi Assassin and powerful, legendary samurai as you explore a beautiful open world in a time of chaos.

“Switch between these two unlikely allies as you discover their common destiny. Master complementary playstyles, create your shinobi league, customise your hideout, and usher in a new era for Japan.”
